Description:This basic-level course presents an overview of U.S. regulatory requirements for employee benefits programs. It examines how federal regulations influence each of the main types of benefits — health and plans, retirement plans, paid time off programs IRC Section 125 & 129 plans. Attendees will learn administration and communication regulatory requirements for benefits plans, including due diligence obligations for mergers and acquisitions.
* Obtain an overview of governmental influenceson employee benefit plans.
* Gain an introduction to the taxation of and welfare benefits.
* Examine the regulations that affect retirement benefits.
* Address regulatory requirements for pay for time not worked.
* Review legal issues related to IRC Section 125 plans.
* Discuss requirements for dependent care assistance under IRC Section 129.
* Understand communication and administration activities including proper reporting needs to ensure plans are in compliance.

Description:This basic-level course focuses on general quantitative concepts, basic statistical tools,
the mathematics of total compensation design and administration, mathematical modeling, and
regression analysis. Participants learn to consider data from numerous sources, with an emphasis on problem solving and decision making.

* Understand how to define and compare percents, market index and compa-ratios
* Study the time value of money—including compound interest and the compound salary growth rate
* Find out how to collect, analyze and accurately display statistical data
* Learn how to determine central tendency and measures of central location

This basic-level course examines the methods and processes that support job analysis, job documentation and job evaluation in order to attract and retain effective talent. You’ll cover various methods of job evaluation including quantitative and market-based approaches. Exercises help you see how the methods outlined in the course can be put into practice in your organization.
* Review strategic concepts associated with job analysis, documentation and evaluation.
